The season begins with a bang on March 20 at Broadway Performance Hall on the Seattle Central College campus. <\/span>Talea Ensemble<\/a><\/strong> will be performing \u201cSideshow,\u201d a work based on the dark sideshows of Coney Island\u2019s amusement parks in the early 20th century.<\/strong> The work was written by contemporary composer <\/span>Steven Kazuo Takasugi<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>

\n<\/span>Talea Ensemble has been heralded as <\/span>\u201ca crucial part of the New York cultural ecosphere<\/strong>\u201d by the <\/span>New York Times<\/span><\/i>. The ensemble is comprised of nineteen of New York City\u2019s finest classically trained musicians, with a mission to champion musical creativity, cultivate curious listeners, and bring visionary new works to life with vibrant performances that remain in the audience\u2019s imagination long after a concert. They were the recipients of the 2014 Chamber Music America\/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming.<\/span>
