They\u2019re coming together for the final performance in this season\u2019s Saturday Family Concert series. Town Hall presents <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=t9Yn0nZNKt4\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sandy Buchner<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, local musician and co-founder of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cascadianow.org\/happy-squirrel-arts\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Happy Squirrel Arts<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, alongside Seattle\u2019s prolific muralist Henry for a fun whizbang show at Town Hall\u2019s Forum on June 1. Tickets are FREE for kids and only $5 for adults. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/event\/henry-and-sandy\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They\u2019re on sale now<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<strong>Come early (doors open at 10) for arts and crafts!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Town Hall, having been a fan of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/itsahenry.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Henry\u2019s work<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for years, asked him if we could use some of his artwork for the cover of our June print calendar. He said that would be fine. That\u2019d be swell. After a little negotiating with him, we thought it\u2019d be fun to commission Henry for an original painting to be displayed proudly at Town Hall\u2019s newly renovated building. He said that would be fine. That\u2019d be swell. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He came into the offices after he finished the painting. We were like giddy schoolkids when he entered the office, approaching with the canvas. \u201cYou guys want some stickers, too?\u201d YES, WE WANT STICKERS! He pulled out a wad from his front shirt pocket and passed them around. He then showed us the canvas and we smiled hard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-44397\" src=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_6785-e1558539413804.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"309\" height=\"412\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Town Hall\u2019s staff loves the painting with all those kooky characters in Town Hall&#8217;s newly renovated Great Hall. We\u2019ve chosen what animal is each coworker (to note: I am the giraffe).
