Every week the Town Crier blog will look back at Seattle\u2019s near-forgotten <\/span><\/i>Town Crier<\/span> magazine to see what was happening then and talk about what\u2019s happening now. On the cover of the December 7, 1918 edition of the<\/span> Town Crier<\/span><\/i> was the dashing Lucien Perrot. Perrot, for years, had been teaching the citizens of Seattle the French language and was a professor at the University of Washington for the Student Army Training Corps.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Student Army Training Corps is no longer. UW continues its <\/span>French language studies<\/span><\/a>. But did you know there\u2019s a place in Seattle where anyone can learn the French language from children to adults? <\/span>C\u2019est vrai<\/span><\/i>! It\u2019s true!<\/span><\/p>\n

Alliance Francaise<\/span><\/a> is in the Wallingford neighborhood. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, it offers French language classes to all ages and levels and offers French and Francophone cultural events locally.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
