We couldn\u2019t be more excited for Orquesta Northwest to join us in the program\u2019s inaugural year to fill our spaces with vibrant music and community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Under the guidance of acclaimed conductor Paula Nava Madrigal, Orquesta Northwest serves as the umbrella organization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for three incredible initiatives in the Puget Sound area: <strong>The Ballard Civic Orchestra<\/strong>, a prominent hub for Latinx musicians performing under Maestra Paula&#8217;s leadership; <strong>Cascade Conducting<\/strong>, an annual week-long conducting masterclass; and <strong>World Youth Orchestra<\/strong>, which provides free instruction and instruments to underrepresented students, with a focus on empowering Latinx youth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/event\/el-grito\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55955 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/elgrito.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Orquesta Northwest kicks things off with an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/event\/el-grito\/\"><b>El Grito celebration (9\/17<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/event\/el-grito\/\">)<\/a> in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico. In honor of Mexican Independence Day, join us for performances by CeAtl Tonalli Aztec Dancers, Ballard Civic Orchestra, Tr\u00edo Guadalev\u00edn, Mariachi Guadalajara, Bailadores de Bronce, and more! Admission is free, and the festivities begin at 1PM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>P.S. Orquesta is looking for musicians!
