This prompted Nguyen to pursue a cause larger than herself and in lieu of surrendering to a law that restricted her paths forward, she began to fight for change for survivors everywhere.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"4843:47381;a\"><em>Saving Five: A Memoir of Hope\u00a0<\/em>combines Nguyen\u2019s growth as an activist \u2013 eventually resulting in Congress unanimously passing of the Sexual Assault Survivors\u2019 Rights Act in 2016 \u2013 with a dramatized imagined journey through chapters of Nguyen\u2019s personal healing throughout her life.
