Women in Jazz Festival, Seattle\u2019s Westerlies Fest, and the Earshot Jazz Festival \u2013 as the youngest composer they have commissioned. Further, Jahnvi was recently named\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.earshot.org\/2024-04-golden-ear-awards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Earshot Jazz Festival\u2019s Northwest Emerging Artist of the Year<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-aura-rendered-by=\"4843:5172;a\">Jahnvi&#8217;s Scratch Night will take the form of a conversation with jazz journalist Alexa Peters, as they explore key moments in Seattle\u2019s jazz history\u2014uncovering hidden stories and sparking fresh connections to the city\u2019s rich musical legacy. Through photos, recordings, and thoughtful questions, they&#8217;ll consider why this history matters, how Seattle has shaped jazz (and been shaped by it), and the importance of uplifting underrepresented voices.
