We stood on stage surrounded by family and close friends.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;a&nbsp;room I spend a lot of time in \u2014 introducing speakers, answering emails from one of the pews, sometimes sitting as a patron myself, and always finding something new in the stained glass.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Town Hall is magical in so many ways.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;where we find each other.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;where we learn something new.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;where we ask questions that can change a trajectory. And for me,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;where I got married.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shortly after our&nbsp;ceremony, I was talking with our trusted wedding planner (who is also Town Hall\u2019s&nbsp;gala planner!), and we&nbsp;asked: why not have weddings at Town Hall?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So,&nbsp;we\u2019re&nbsp;starting with&nbsp;Cake &amp; Punch,&nbsp;micro-wedding days where couples can get married and host a small reception.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Jake Taylor, owner and lead designer at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.functionsandgatherings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Functions&nbsp;and&nbsp;Gatherings<\/a>, is launching&nbsp;<strong>Cake&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Punch<\/strong>&nbsp;at Town Hall&nbsp;this August, and&nbsp;we&#8217;ll&nbsp;be partnering&nbsp;with Jake and team&nbsp;to bring this to life.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;an exciting step forward \u2014 one that aligns directly with our strategic plan: building new revenue streams, activating the building during historically quieter times, and supporting long-term financial sustainability.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/cake-punch.png\" alt=\"Cake &amp; Punch text logo in pink (left) and Jake Taylor, waving a piece of teal satin fabric\" class=\"wp-image-68487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/cake-punch.png 800w, https:\/\/townhallseattle.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/cake-punch-480x240.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 800px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>Jake Taylor, pictured above on the right, brings a festive flourish to every function.
